Grown-Up Education Meeting

November 7th at 4pm ET / 1pm PT

Does your child experience challenges with focus, coordination, or completing tasks? Join us or an info session to learn how the Extra Lesson Program can offer the foundational support they need.

Rooted in the work of Audrey McAllen and inspired by Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy, this program uses movement, sensory integration, and artistic activities to help children overcome developmental challenges and thrive in their learning journey—supporting the whole child: body, mind, and spirit.

Festival of Light Celebration

Monday, November 11th at 7pm ET / 4PM PT

Join us for our 4th annual virtual Celebrations of Light gathering as we join with Waldorf-inspired families all over the world to honor our inner light that shines in darkness. Martinmas, a traditional Waldorf festival, celebrates this light during the darker months and joins Christmas, Hanukkah, Diwali, and other winter holidays. The story of St. Martin reminds us of kindness, as he gave half of his cloak to a beggar. Our lantern walk symbolizes how even the smallest light can penetrate darkness. This secular event welcomes siblings of Lotus & Ivy students.

During our time together, we will begin the event with a verse and introduction, then Ms. Smith, Lotus & Ivy Kindergarten Teacher, will lead us as we make pretzels together. While the pretzels are baking, Ms. Parrish, one of Lotus & Ivy's Directors, will lead us in making our lanterns.  We will also have a special verse presentation from Ms. Murray's second grade class. We will end with a verse and send you out for your lantern walk.  After the walk, come home and enjoy your warm pretzels!

Here is our Celebrations of Light Songbook so you can follow along with Ms. Smith and/or practice at home.

Grandparents & Special Friends Day

Join us on Thursday, November 21st, for Grandparents & Special Friends Day at Lotus & Ivy! This cherished event is a warm invitation for grandparents or special friends to step into the classroom and experience the joy, curiosity, and learning that your young ones dive into each day. It’s a wonderful chance to see firsthand how they’re growing through hands-on activities, stories, and creative expression.

Welcome to our international community of homeschooling families.

Whole Child

Education

At Lotus & Ivy, we provide an educational experience that is developmentally appropriate, experiential, academically rigorous, and nourishing for the whole child, “head, heart, and hands.”

Live &

Interactive

Classes

Lotus & Ivy’s live & interactive classes with trained teachers are the cornerstone of our program.

No pre-recorded lessons here!

We offer a full curriculum or a la carte classes for ages 4 - 15 inspired by Waldorf education. With options for Main Lesson, Math & Language Arts Skills Practice, Art Classes, and much more.

Flexibility

Every family has different needs. You won’t find a ‘one size-fits all’ program here. That is why all of our classes are a la carte.

You also have the freedom to choose your payment frequency— once yearly, semesterly, 5 months, or 10 months.

The Gift of Head, Heart, & Hands Education

“Our highest endeavor must be to develop free human beings who are able of themselves to impart purpose and direction to their lives. The need for imagination, a sense of truth, and a feeling of responsibility—these three forces are the very nerve of education.”

We set out in 2015 to create a Waldorf-inspired program for homeschoolers where none existed in our town. This inspiration has since grown to several in-person homeschool enrichment Pods in the United States and a premier online program offering over a hundred classes for students in Kindergarten through 9th grade worldwide.
